AANS Fee Increase Notice –
Because of an increase of fees implemented by Archery Canada, effective immediately AANS registration fees have increased. Below is the new fee structure approved by the Board of Directors on September 27th, 2016:
TWO DAY WORKSHOP - SAT. JAN. 20 & SUN JAN. 21
DNR BUILDING, 24 CREIGHTON ROAD, SHUBENACADIE
The Competition Development Course is designed to help you understand how to create and operate a 'higher' performance environment. At the very least, you will know how to create, implement and manage a Training Plan for a higher performance athlete. There is a lot of curriculum to cover: a workbook, Training Plan, and 3 evaluations including technical, practical and theoretical principles. There is also a MED (Making Ethical Decisions) component which is usually done after the fact - online. Participants will also have to complete a set of 7 multi sport courses before they can be certified - http://www.coachingns.com/en-us/nccp/multisportmodules.aspx
This program is two workshops, one on Jan. 20 -21 and the second about a year from now. It is encouraged that you ask a lot of questions and anticipate that there will be a lot of collaboration and group discussion.
This course is best suited to people who are, or are interested in training Archery athletes to a high competitive level - whether it be field, target, or 3D. The concepts taught are applicable to all styles of archery.
The Competition Development Course will be delivered by Master Coach Developer (MCD - only 2 in Canada) Bruce Savage of Ontario. Bruce has coached many local, provincial, and International athletes and is the former Coaching Chair of Archery Canada.
More information on course requirements can be found here: http://www.archerycanada.ca/…/ArcheryCompDevOutcomesandcrit…
This is an excellent (and rare) opportunity to acquire the Archery specific Competition Development Coaching Course.
